OUR BLENDS

Blend #5

Blend #5 is a very satisfying blend of Central & South American coffees and has been described as "fruity". Two of the three coffees in this blend are "Relationship" coffees, i.e. where our roaster buys the crop direct from a particular farm thereby eliminitating coffee brokers or other middlemen and consequently paying the farmers better than so-called fair trade prices. While not certified as "Organic" we believe there are no pesticides, fertilizers, or other non-organic practices associated with these coffees. The third coffee is a Brazilian Daterra and this gives Blend #5 its earthy sweetness. The blend is smooth, soft, and somewhat complex and has a classic espresso mouth feel. It is perfect for a straight espresso blend but will hold up in proper sized, i.e. not more than 6.5 oz. milk drinks.

Len's FTO

"FTO" stands for "fair trade, organic". It is blended from certified fair trade and organic beans and contains beans from three distinctly different parts of the World. It is earthy, rich, big bodied, and has been described as tangy and with a "jump". Yet is has a buttery feel on the tongue and a slight maple aftertaste. It is lovely as a straight espresso but holds up well in milk based drinks.
